Horse Care

~Horse Care~

*We are currently fully booked!*
However, we expect at least one openings in late spring 2016.  Two of our horses only stay with us in the winter months, because they have mountain pastures awaiting them.  Check with us in the spring, or contact us now and get on the waiting list for when spots open up.

We have plans to add shelters for at least 2 more horses for 2016.  We are looking forward to tackling the goal of upgrading our facilities a little more and the horses will enjoy a few more comfort measures.

We offer full time boarding on our place with limited pasture time.  We have 4 horse paddocks sectioned off with electric fencing (we hope to do more permanent fencing at some point, but it is a ways down the list of to-dos).  You can do some trail riding from our place, but we do not have an arena or round pen at this time.

This young lady does the horse chores around here
and she is great at it. She consistent and responsible in all she does!
Sierra and Ruler (one of our boarded horses) in our very-ready-to-be-cut hay field.

We feed your horse twice daily (or as directed). We are experienced horse people (I grew up with horses my whole childhood and showed horses at local and state both 4-H and open).  We are often home and can keep a close eye on your horses for you.

We charge $100 per month per horse, for paddock and daily feeding service.  You supply all feed, supplements and basic care for horse (trimming, shoeing, worming, vaccinations etc).  Multi-horse discounts are available.

Your horse needs to respect an electric fence and be good with other horses as well as children, and dogs.  Ground manners are a must, as well as up-to-date vaccinations.

Cooper, is a former a guest here.  His owners now have acreage of their own!:)

Gypsy is a current guest.

Gypsy and Chex are enjoying a little pasture time.

Chex loves attention of any kind.  He is the goof-ball of the place for sure!

Ruler taking likes his naps.

Goldie is just waking up from a relaxing snooze-fest.

Come take a look, get to know us,

and see if the set up might be right for your horses.
